CEME are delighted to welcome our new Business Development Director, Tom Ashby, who joined us on 1^st August 2011.

Tom's aim is to drive new business for CEME primarily focusing on developing new business for the engineering and motor vehicle workshops as well as filling any available office space within the main building and the Innovation Centre.

Tom joins us from the National Physical Laboratory, part of Serco Group, where he spent 3 years in Business Development for Knowledge Services & Training dealing with public and private sector contracts across various markets including manufacturing and engineering. Prior to Serco, Tom worked for a British manufacturer of inspection and measurement systems as Export Sales Manager for 6 years, setting up distribution networks across India, Scandinavia, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia. Tom was married in April this year and lives in Wandsworth, South West London.

Tom would like to engage with staff, customers, stakeholders and suppliers of CEME in the pursuit of excellence in skills, education and enterprise for the region.
