Free help for businesses seeking finance
It's said it takes money to make money but for small businesses looking to grow, the old adage is sometimes easier said than done.
Now thanks to a project made possible by support from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), businesses can receive free help and advice to enable them to understand and access a variety of forms of finance.
The CEME Gateway to Investment programme, which runs until March 2013, offers eligible businesses the opportunity to attend information seminars and workshops as well as receive in-depth one-to-one support from specialist business advisors.
To help those wanting to find out more about finance without the pressures of approaching banks or investors, the Gateway to Investment team are pleased to announce the launch of their 2011-2012 seminar programme. Between now and March 2012, two different types of event will be hosted at the modern and purpose-built CEME Conference Centre in Rainham to help businesses at various stages of accessing finance.
For those wanting a clearer picture of the current lending situation or an understanding of what's available, attending one of the morning seminars starting Wednesday 5th October 09:00-12:30 should prove invaluable. This event will provide delegates with an overview of different sources of business finance and an opportunity to discuss their specific needs with an experienced business advisor during a dedicated 'surgery' session.
Businesses ready to take the plunge and raise money, should not miss one of the follow-up sessions, starting Wednesday 28th September 2011 09:00-17:00. During this full-day seminar (with lunch provided) attendees will get to hear about the importance of good financial management and receive tips on how to create an attractive business plan. Also included is the opportunity to practise pitching a proposal to a live panel and receive valuable feedback.
