Havering Business Summit
More than 25 exhibitors took part in the summit including Gateway to Business, Train to Gain, Business Link and CompeteFor with business focused presentations running from 10am to 5pm.
The summit also saw the launch of Havering Council's own package of support for local businesses and focused on three areas including providing general advice and support for businesses, inward investment and workforce development. The summit came two weeks after Havering Council launched the Haveringcard which offers discounts to local residents at over 450 local businesses who have signed up to the scheme.
Leader of Havering Council, Michael White said: "In the current economic climate it is important that we help and support local businesses as much as we can. Local businesses are the main drivers of our economy, creating employment, growth and sustainability in Havering."
CEME Conference Centre also exhibited at the summit and were delighted to achieve a good level of enquiries, it was a great opportunity to show the venue and also network with local business’s which is imperative during these difficult times.
